IDI, a publisher of network security software tools based in New York, counts the State Department, NASA, the U.S. Supreme Court and the Internal Revenue Service among its customers.

The company offers two products: Kane Security Analyst and Kane Security Monitor. The analyst product is designed to perform a complete security assessment and report security exposures in various areas including user account restriction, password strength and access controls. The monitor is a real-time intrusion-detection system that provides sophisticated security monitoring for Microsoft Corp. Windows NT networks.

Security Dynamics, which also owns RSA Data Security, has integrated the Kane products into its SecurSight family of plug-in enterprise security solutions that are designed to provide users with secure access to information wherever it resides on the enterprise.
