GTSI to sell eGrail goods

GTSI Corp. and eGrail Inc., a provider of Web content management software, announced a strategic partnership Sept. 18 to deliver eGrail's Enterprise Content Server to federal, state and local government agencies through a pair of GTSI's governmentwide contracts.

The eGrail products will be available through GTSI's National Institutes of Health Electronic Computer Store II and NASA's Scientific and Engineering Workstation contracts.

With eGrail's solution, government personnel with limited or no programming knowledge can quickly update and change a Web site. Government customers that choose the tool do not necessarily have to rely on a Webmaster to maintain their sites because it is easy to use and implement, said Joseph Payne, president and chief executive officer of eGrail. Key features of eGrail's enterprise content server include:

* Open architecture that provides J2EE application programming interfaces, built-in integration support for Java application servers.

* Database management systems, e-commerce platforms and enterprise application integration tools.

* An intuitive interface that contains WYSIWYG authoring and administration tools and localized user interfaces that are browser-driven for platform and location independence.

* A set of safety measures and management tools for control over content creation and distribution processes.

"Government agencies recognize the benefits of keeping their Web content accurate and up-to-date in order to satisfy the needs of their constituents," Payne said in a release. "EGrail Enterprise Content Server is designed to deliver this capability."

The General Accounting Office is already an eGrail customer, according to the company's Web site.
