General Dynamics completes acquisition

General Dynamics Corp. announced last week that it completed its acquisition of Digital System Resources Inc., a Fairfax, Va.-based developer of surveillance and combat systems for submarines and ships.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Digital System has about 450 employees. It is now part of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a unit of the company's Information Systems and Technology group.

General Dynamics, based in Falls Church, Va., recently bought Veridian Corp. as well. The defense contractor employs about 64,000 worldwide. Its key lines of business include mission-critical information systems, land and amphibious combat systems, shipbuilding and marine systems, and business aviation.
