IBM joins Siebel for social services
Under the agreement, the two companies will sell Siebel Public Sector products as a component of IBM's Integrated Case Management solution.
In a new partnership, IBM and Siebel Systems officials will develop a product for the social services and social security markets, which they estimate at about $24 billion.
The two companies have been collaborating for more than five years and now have entered a formal strategic agreement.
Their joint customers already include the Department for Work and Pensions in the United Kingdom, and the Centre for Work and Income in the Netherlands.
