Severn expands fed operation

The systems integrator specializing in IBM offerings is doubling its engineering and sales operations for federal IT.

Severn, a systems integrator specializing in IBM products and services, is doubling its engineering and sales operations in the federal information technology market.

Severn officials have hired entrepreneur Bill Beeson to serve as vice president of federal sector sales. Beeson earned and managed more than $250 million in federal sales over the past 10 years with his companies, Beeson and Co. and Native American Information Technologies. He also served as vice president of sales for Native American Systems.

“Severn is excited by the opportunities we see in the federal marketplace today,” said Chief Executive Officer Carson Soule, in a written statement. “Demand is clearly there for a company like ours to bring intelligent answers to IT and enhanced products and services to our customers."

Severn, a subsidiary of CAS, counts the departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury, Agriculture and Justice, and the Navy, among its customers.

“We’re confident that our business partners will see increased penetration in the federal market with the right combination of Severn’s experience and longevity and my contacts throughout government,” Beeson said.
