The world from a search perspective...

Yahoo has put out its top searched terms for 2005. There isn't much government stuff here -- in fact, very little government at all. The leading serch term is Britney Spears. OK!

The top news search was tsunami followed by Iraq, Michael Jackson trial... Hurricane Katrina comes in number seven, just behind Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but ahead of Cindy Sheehan at number eight, President Bush at number nine and Tom Cruise at 10.

Yahoo also lists its top product searches.

No doubt Google will put out its most searched terms for the year soon. Stay tuned.
