Zacarias Moussaoui court documents online

More evidence that the world be a-changin': The U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., has posted all sorts of data related to the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui online.

I just started plunking through the site this morning, but you can find it all at www.vaed.uscourts.gov/notablecases/moussaoui/exhibits/. According to the AP report, it includes photographs of the carnage of Sept. 11 and tape-recorded final phone calls from victims in the World Trade Center that were used as evidence against Moussaoui, who was convicted of being an al-Qaida conspirator.

The courts, frankly, have been slow to embrace the Web. Many are still paper based and they just those that post things online are the exception rather than the rule, unfortunately. So this seems like a big and important step.
