Help Find the Government’s Boldest Innovators
Nominations are open for BOLD Gov 2020, a showcase for federal innovation.
For the last four years, Government Executive and Nextgov have asked the federal community to show us bold initiatives; to present to us and their colleagues the difficult, the audacious, the never-in-a-million-years, Gordian Knot challenges they’ve chosen to tackle.
But 2020 has been different in so, so many ways. And while BOLD Gov is back for its fifth consecutive year, it too must change.
BOLD Gov 2020 will still highlight amazing work happening across government with a focus on innovative management techniques and world-changing technologies. You can see last year’s presentations here.
Most importantly, BOLD Gov is still all about the federal community. Rather than an awards show, BOLD Gov is an effort to showcase excellence in government from the perspective of those on the ground doing the work. Nominations come from our readers, either fellow government employees or contractors working directly with programs.
Once all the nominations are in, editors from Government Executive and Nextgov will pick the most interesting programs and presentations on technology, workforce, management, and, of course, pandemic response for 20-minute spotlight sessions this December.
But nothing is simple in 2020, and the continued COVID-19 crisis means we won’t be able to host the BOLD Gov showcase in person this year. Instead, we’ll be airing the presentations over three days through a virtual, interactive program.
Success in 2020 requires bold action. Help us highlight the best of government this year at BOLD Gov 2020: Innovation That Matters.
