After a long private-sector career, Dennis postponed his retirement to take on the CFO role at HUD, where he has focused on enhancing operations in three areas. First, in collaboration with HUD’s CIO, Dennis created the Intelligent Automation Program, which is making processes more efficient and accurate while freeing employees to focus on high-value, mission-oriented tasks. Second, he used data modeling, advanced analytics and forecasting to successfully address long-standing open audit recommendations. Third, he implemented an automated solution to monitor the disbursement of benefits under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.
