Booz Allen hires Army general

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Robert Noonan Jr., former deputy chief of staff for intelligence for the Army, this week joined Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. as a principal in the firm.

Noonan was the Army's deputy chief of staff for intelligence from 2000 to June of this year, retiring this month after a 35-year military career that included appointments as director of intelligence for the U.S. Central Command, and commander of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. He had a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970, and spent almost his entire career in the intelligence field.

"He will help lead our consulting services to the United States Army and to the national intelligence community," Booz Allen Vice President Mike McConnell said in a statement. "His depth and breadth of knowledge, leadership, and experience will serve Booz Allen's clients very well."

Noonan holds an MBA in management from Western New England College, and a bachelor of arts in government and international relations from the University of Notre Dame.
