DOD awards intelligence vendors

The Defense Intelligence Agency chose seven companies to provide information technology hardware, software and services for itself and other intelligence organizations.
DIA selected BAE Systems, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Computer Sciences Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp. SRA International Inc. and Titan Corp. to participate in the Defense Intelligence Information Systems Integration and Engineering Support Services Contract 3.
DIESCON 3 covers database management, hardware, software and applications support, systems architecture and operation services, systems and facilities management support, systems and network engineering services, teleconferencing support, training and documentation and video production.
CSC announced this week that DIA chose it to participate in DIESCON 3. The company said in a statement it expects to generate more than $120 million in revenue from the blanket purchase agreement contracts.
DIA has not yet issued an official statement on the contract award. But an agency official confirmed the award and the winning companies.
