Justice served with task order for IT services

The Justice Department has awarded a six-year, $80 million task order to SRA International Inc. to provide IT systems and services to the Office of Justice Programs, the company said late last month.

The Justice Department has awarded a six-year, $80 million task order to SRA International Inc. to provide IT systems and services to the Office of Justice Programs, the company said late last month.The Office of Justice Programs is responsible for developing the country’s capacity to prevent and control crime, improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems, increase knowledge about crime and related issues, and assist crime victims.Under the task order, SRA will develop, enhance, integrate and maintain the Office of Justice Programs’ IT systems. The company’s work will focus on the Grants Management System, which along with the Grants.gov Web site, automates the application and approval process for the $8 billion in federal funds that the office issues to state, local and private organizations.SRA also will focus on the Integrated Financial Management Information System, the office’s chief financial accounting system for its operations and grants programs.
