GTSI hires new solutions VP

P. “Jay” Jayachandran will manage a team responsible for the solutions process.

P. “Jay” Jayachandran has joined GTSI, an information technology provider to the government.

As vice president of solutions, Jayachandran will manage a team responsible for the solutions process, from market research, competitive analysis and identification to launch and measurement.

Jayachandran, who will report to Scot Edwards, chief marketing officer and group vice president, has more than 26 years’ experience in business development and information management. Before joining GTSI, he was vice president of marketing at the Potomac Management Group, where he led the company’s marketing and business development efforts.

Earlier, he served as vice president for business development and marketing at Science Applications International Corp., where he led business development activities for the Federal Civilian Group’s $300 million dollar business unit. Jayachandran has also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, Burroughs, Unisys and Lockheed Martin.

Jayachandran has a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering and an MBA in marketing management.
