The president-elect's team is researching job candidates more carefully than past administrations, even asking for links to Facebook pages, according to the New York Times.
President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team wants to know all about job candidates' lives before giving them posts in the new administration, according to the New York Times. Along with asking for information about spouses' jobs and children’s lives, applicants must include any e-mails that may embarrass the president-elect, any blog posts and even links to Facebook pages. The Times says the 63rd question on the form is all-encompassing: “Please provide any other information, including information about other members of your family, that could suggest a conflict of interest or be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family, or the president-elect.” Read the Times’ .
